You would never dream of buying the first house that you looked at so why would you consider doing so with a vehicle? Another very strong suggestion is to avoid financing through the dealership and stick with your local bank or credit union as they will be able to offer you the best terms. The difference could be astronomical indeed as obviously you trust the place where you do your banking and it is better to rest your fate with them then a very eager salesperson especially with today's sluggish economy. Most salespeople are really looking for a way to make money and support their families just as you are looking for ways to save. Therefore, go with those that you trust first.
